Stress? What Stress?

Stress will always be a part of life. It's a fact. Stress comes in 3 basic forms.
Physical, chemical and emotional.

How well you & your body are able to handle these stresses determines your health.

These different stresses magnify each other. The key to dealing with stress is to minimize the effect it has on you.

Chiropractic is about identifying and giving your body a better chance at dealing with physical stress. This can have a huge impact on how you deal with all kinds of stress.

Chiropractic Made Easy

Your health is about how well you're body is working. Your nervous system runs everything inside you, like a central command centre. Without a clear signal, the different parts of you stop working together, do their own thing and break down.

This is the foundation of chiropractic. Having a nervous system that can optimally guide the countless functions inside you.

About Me

It was a desperate situation that encouraged me to make chiropractic a career. I was a student teacher in front of a loud grade 8 class and wouldn't you know it, I went to turn my head and my neck simply locked. The feeling was unbelievable. At the time, I had no idea what was happening.

I visited a chiropractor who was taking care of my mum and sister. It was really interesting because he recorded his exam findings into a tape recorder. I understood everything he said from my studies in university. He explained the problem and what it would take to get better. I remember the feeling from the first few adjustments were like being released from a vice.

I went to Simon Fraser University in Burnaby BC where I earned a degree in biology and then on to UBC in Vancouver where I earned a degree in education. My chiropractic studies where done in Portland, Oregon. I was amazed at the depth of knowledge that was expected on entrance, but also the rigorous schedule of the program. It was a great mix of academic studies and practical, hands on learning. I earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in March 1996.

Practice to me is all about helping people through connecting with their individual concerns. This means being honest, clear in explanation and respectful of individual choices. The greatest thing about chiropractic is that it encourages the individual to help themselves. I am constantly amazed by the healing power within when the mind is made up to do what it takes.

My greatest satisfaction is people telling me what they can now do instead of what they can't. Things like going golfing, playing catch with their grandchildren, enjoying the outdoors or simply looking forward to getting up in the morning. Improving quality of life for a lifetime is it truly what chiropractic is all about.

My wife Nathalie and I welcomed our son Nicolas in January 2006 and our daughter Melina in September 2008 so our lives have become even more happy and exciting. Watching them grow, eventually learn to stand, fall and then get up again shows me this determination is in us from the beginning.

What I want for my community is the same for me and my family. We get adjusted regularly because we totally understand the health benefits of an adjustment. We walk as a family and make the simple choices in what we eat. The occasional treat is a good thing and more enjoyable with a clear conscience.

Too many miss out because they fear what they don't know, or even worse, they believe the "over the back fence" stories. If chiropractic didn't work, it would have been gone a long time ago.

If you or someone you care about could do with better health, I encourage you to call or email me. Everyone deserves a chance for better health.
